Check out my award winning industrial photography project From A to Y, it was selected as feature on LensCulture and printed in the book New Dutch Photography 2018 by GUP Magazine. It focuses on the unseen raw beauty and details of the industrial harbors of Amsterdam, all the way up to Ymuiden. From A to Y came out of my other series Escher Stairs, picturing industrial stairs and their shadow play, pictured in ink black and white seem to look like they are mathematical drawings. Just like the stairs of Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher. Famous for his impossible stairs and optical illusions.
One of my other, documentary focused project is Meat the Butchers, a raw and uncut look into the kitchen of butchers. Meat the Butchers and Escher stairs were selected for the Head on Photography Festival in Sydney in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Escher Stairs was also exhibited for six months in a hospital in Groningen and turned into a photo book. Another project is about the SlumLife in Jakarta, a city where rich and poor are neighbors. Don't expect all misery, these people live hard lives but they do like to smile a lot.
