BRV is short for Bart Robert Vos. I'm an Amsterdam based filmmaker, photographer and editor with a background in journalism.
I studied journalism and did a traineeship at Amsterdam's city TV-station AT5 and also in Jerusalem working for TV-correspondent Conny Mus for the Dutch RTL News. A super interesting and exciting place to start off my career. Two days after I landed leader of Israel Ariel Sharon was hospitalized, he had a stroke. A major press event, which was covered live 24/7 by the world press. Later we covered the Israeli and Palestinian elections. I wrote several articles there for magazine De Groene Amsterdammer about those elections. I continued my journalism career at press agency Novum after graduating.
There I produced news and background stories till the end of 2015 for a great variety of Dutch and international media, like MSN, National Geographic, AOL and The Huffington Post. I can operate as a self filming video journalist, but I can also work as part of a team.
Now I still work for all kinds of on and offline media as a freelancer.
Besides journalism I produce corporate videos with with a cinematic look and feel. I use my journalistic skills and experience in online news (e.g. short, catchy) to produce corporate videos, that make you look good. I have a lot of experience in international shoots and worked all over Europe, the US, Asia and Africa.
